Rash Update

Paige's rash is still believed to be a skin infection, and is being treated as so. The redness inflammation has gone pretty much away. Down the front of her shin was a 4"x 1 1/2" strip where her blood capillaries broke, this has the doctors a little confused. She didn't fall or bang her leg to cause such breakage, so why such marks is still a mystery. The blueish/purple throughout the front and back of her leg is about all gone as well. This morning she walked to the bathroom without too much of a limp, so we're on our road to progression. (knock on wood.)
She is on two strong doses of Antibiotics by IVs, one once a day and the other twice. After 2 treatments her vein gives out. Every day she has had to get a new IV. It's pretty traumatic, for her and I. Her blood supply is beginning to get low, the doctor believes it's from having to draw blood every day. We're draining her dry.
She keeps telling me that I shouldn't have taken her to the hospital, and she wants to go home. No matter how much I try to explain to her that this owie is too big for just mommy to take care of, she still comes back with, "you shouldn't have taken me to the hospital." There's no place like home!!

Vanae,
We am so sorry to hear Paige is in the hospital. It is hard to watch your children suffer. Please let us know how she is doing. We love and miss you and your sweet little family.

What a roller coaster ride you've been on. You have truly been blessed during this time as you've had to rely on the Lord for patience, understanding & peace. You're a wonderful example to me. We continue to pray for Paige & you & your whole family. We love you!
